Hello!

 .

Hello! Thank you for stopping by. This blog is a chronicle of my kitchen (mis)adventures, and owes itself to my love of food, cooking and baking

I grew up in Delhi, the Indian capital city, but my family's roots are in Kerala, which is a small state on India's western coast. As a Malayali, I carry a love of seafood and spice in my genes. My early childhood and teenage years in Delhi exposed me to the joys of hearty north Indian food, which continues to be one of my favourite types of cuisine.

Over the last few years, I have lived in South-East Asia, Europe and the US. Whilst these experiences do sometimes find their way into my cooking, it remains heavily influenced by the food of my childhood, which was predominantly Indian.

I hope you enjoy your time on my little space on the blogosphere. Do get in touch if you have questions or nice things to say. :) It would be great to hear from you!

  1. Checked out your blog after reading your write up on jack-of-all-tradesfruit in the Goya journal.Being another Malayali raised in the North with summervacation trips to the South, throughly enjoyed that article and your posts here. That puttu and egg curry had me salivating :) though I am wary of trying to master that beast.Happy cooking and keep enlightening !

  2. Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the posts. Puttu may sound intimidating but it’s the easiest of things to master. It’s basically just moistened flour and grated coconut steamed in a mould. Hope you try it some time! :)
